On the 8th January, refreshed after a festive break, SNUG members gathered in Edinburgh for the opening Symposium of the Scottish High Field NMR Centre funded by a £ 1.4 M EPSRC grant “A National Network for Applications of High-Field NMR in the Life and Physical Sciences”.

Under the watchful eye of the Advisory board and Chemistry colleagues, Scottish NMR spectroscopists presented few short talks (link the program) to mark the start of our 3 year high field journey.

In the evening we relaxed in a majestic atmosphere of the Grand Café at the Scotsman hotel (https://scotsmanhotel.co.uk/eat-drink/).

A big thank you to everybody who has been involved in putting together this grant. Looking forward to all the successes it brings.

Dusan.
