History of NMR in Edinburgh

On January 1964, the first NMR spectrometer arrived at the Department of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh. A Perkin Elmer R-10 60 MHz spectrometer could only measure proton NMR specttra but gave Edinburgh chemists for the first time access to NMR.
